But I did get the opportunity to design one for a good friend, Laura Robards who is graduating in December. I really love how it turned out. It's the perfect balance of classic and simple design with the feel of Flagstaff.

This weekend some good friends were here from out of town, and we visited Out of Africa, a type of wildlife safari. Seeing these animals reminded me of how I connect to God through creation. These animals speak majesty, power, and love to me.

Over the last week, I only had my little point-and-shoot camera with me. I saw some great things to photograph and I decided to take some photos anyway. It didn't even matter, I got some great shots! Lesson is: you don't need a fancy camera to take great pictures.

The difference in these first two is mainly composition and the use of a flash.

Phoenix sunsets and sunrises are always amazing.

Margo and I were a part of a camp ministry forever and I have seen her grow and mature into the beautiful woman she is today! I have been back in Minnesota for a week or so, and there is no place better to find Antiques than the Midwest. My mom and I went out yesterday and I found some really great stuff.

One of my best friends is getting married in September, and have been working on her wedding invitations. This is the first wedding invitation I have ever designed, and it's so much harder than I thought it would be! Maria and John are a traditional and classy couple. They wanted a Coptic influence, so here's the two ideas I came up with:

I wanted to make a little flier that I can give out at churches and other places people will be interested in getting senior portraits in Flagstaff. I tried out my [rusty] design skills to make it.

Though I love photography, obviously, I did major in studio Art in college. I thought I would take some time to share some things I have done in the past as well as a couple things recently. Just to warn you, I have had a slight obsession with animals the past 5 years of my life.

I really started to fall in love with drawing in college.

I got a little more comfortable with painting as time went on.

These are actually on two canvases, but to be displayed together.

I think in the end, I found my niche in collage work.

I don't mean that Anneliese + Marc are worldly people, but that their wedding was so multi-cultural. Marc is originally from Spain, but Anneliese and him will be moving to Turkey. So this wedding had influences from Spain, Turkey and Arizona.

This weekend was the big day, and I had so much fun being a part of it. I got some of my favorite wedding photos I have ever taken this weekend.

This weekend we shot a wedding outdoor in Phoenix... in September. For those of you who aren't Phoenicians, the temperature was well over 100 degrees. Sweltering if you ask me. But it turned out pretty amazing... Take a look for yourselves.
